I'd like to officially welcome you to Something Blue, where our goal is to take those hours of research, those endless emails, the hundreds (or what feels like it) vendor meetings and venue visits, and the general sense of impending timelines that stress everyone planning a wedding, and take it off your plate.
We strive to create classic, personal, and memorable weddings that fit you and your partner perfectly. We love little personal touches to a wedding that makes it truly yours and work to help you work your way through all of those less than stress-free pieces so you can feel nothing but love at your wedding.
A little about me, my name is Leigh. I'm the Owner and Lead Coordinator for Something Blue Wedding Design. I am certified in Wedding Coordination and Consulting through the Wedding Planners Insitute of Canada, and just love weddings!
I am an Alberta girl, born and raised, and love being out in the country near where I grew up, cities are too enclosed for me. I have a love for animals, cats in particular, and have a background in animal sheltering that will always hold a piece of my heart.
I have a 6-year-old Domestic Short Haired cat named Blue (he was named well before this business was, ironically), who I adore. He keeps me on my toes. Think of everything a cat should do, then throw it out the window. That's Blue.
Now back to weddings, Something Blue Wedding Design (SB Wedding Design) offers various coordination and consulting services to couples throughout Alberta, but we are based in Edmonton, St. Albert, and surrounding areas.
Consulting services are hourly, and can help you with a small piece of your wedding planning. For example, if you weren't sure where to start or needed help with a budget, finding a dress, or finalizing your vendor contract.
Coordination services are offered in Month-Of-Coordination and Full Coordination. Month-Of-Coordination (MOC) is specifically for your wedding day. We meet approximately a month prior to your date, go through exactly how your day is planned up until that point, then we put together a plan of our own, to coordinate your day so you don't have to worry.
Full Coordination services are the full package. From the second you are ready to hire a coordinator, to the second you say goodnight at the end of your wedding, we help you with various tasks including, budget, timelines, contracts, etiquette, details, coordination of your day, and many others.
